Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights
Entering its 22nd season, the Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park is open nightly from 6-11 p.m. starting Nov. 23 – Jan. 1.
Festival of Lights patrons can listen to festive tunes on our interactive musical displays in which the music is original compositions from the UNC School of the Arts Music Technology students. There will be over 80 displays along the route! Also, to make the show more eco-friendly and brighter, majority of all displays will now feature the low-energy LED Lights.
The Holiday Gift Village, located halfway through the light show route, features locally crafted gifts, concessions, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Gift available at the barn include holiday crafts, wood workings, and other fine items made by over 70 local vendors. Photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus are available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6 – 9:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Visitors have the option of paying for tractor-pulled hayrides and horse-drawn carriage rides. Reservations are required and can be placed by calling Tanglewood Stables at (336) 766-9540.
The cost for the Festival of Lights for a family vehicle is $10 for Monday-Thursday and $15 Friday-Sunday and on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Commercial vans are $20 Monday-Thursday and $25 Friday-Sunday and on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Buses and motorcoaches are $90 every day.
