2019 Winston-Salem Greek Festival

Happening May 17-19.

The annual Greek Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive in Winston-Salem, will be May 17 through 19.

The festival features authentic Greek food, music, dance and more.

Greek meals, for eating in or taking out, will be $13. They include Moussaka, Chicken Rigonato and Pork Souvlaki with Greek salad, roll, green beans, spanakopita, and drink. Other items are available a la carte, and Greek pastries also will be for sale.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Patriots Day, Alamance Battleground

We will commemorate the battles which were fought in Alamance County in conjunction with supporting the Battle of Alamance. Living history, ceremonies, and a battle reenactment will take place throughout the weekend. Please contact Alamance Battleground State Historic Site for more information.

The Cheerwine Festival is back for another great weekend of fun for all ages.

Here is what fun things you can expect at our 3rd annual celebration:

Enjoy a performance from multi-platinum California rockers, Smash Mouth on the Hotwire Communication Stage from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Music from Carolina-based bands Live House (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.)and Stella Rising (3:30 to 4:30 p.m.) and a performance from Nashville-based band, The Southern Gothic (5 to 6 p.m).

Enjoy a variety of street performers including Blazin’ Blues Bob, Lucas Beam, David Myers & Courtney Puckett, Kia Rice, Zoe, and Lisette Rodriguez.

Sample the flavors of the Carolina’s free of charge in our “Taste of the Carolina’s” booth sponsored by Food Lion.

Explore Salisbury by completing a scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes.

Discover Cheerwine’s history at the Rowan Museum. The free Cheerwine exhibit will take fans on a walk through the soft drink’s last 102 years of delighting taste buds.

Play in the F&M Bank Kids’ Zone. Available all day, The Kids’ Zone will feature tons of family-friendly games and activities.

Shop for Cheerwine merchandise at the official Cheerwine tent.

Enjoy food, drinks, and crafts from local vendors.

Triad Dog Games 2019

Triad Dog Games ™  is run and organized by  The Sergei Foundation to assist in its mission to “save companion pets’ lives by providing veterinary financial assistance to families unable to afford emergency, life-saving care. ”

Our sixth annual event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds and will showcase dogs running, jumping, diving, and retrieving in a variety of competitions. You may enter your dogs to compete or just come to spectate, spend the day at the park, eat and have some family fun (and don’t forget to bring your canine family… leashed, friendly, and rabies vaccinated dogs welcome!
