Harvest Day: Pigs and Pippins

Join us for a fun-filled day of activities involving favorite fall foods: Pigs & Pippins(apples)! Celebrate the fall harvest with hands-on activities, puppet shows, historic demonstrations, and more!
Demonstrations and activities for the whole family include:
– See how an apple cider mill works
– Stuffing sausage demonstrations
– Candy apple tastings
– Make and taste applesauce (hands-on)
– Hearth cooking with pork and apples
– Puppet Show: Farmer Kater and the Apple Tree (11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, & 3:00pm)
– And much more!
To complement our historic activities, several modern growers and vendors will be on the Tavern Meadow to talk about and sell their products:
– Century Farms Orchards
– Levering Orchard
– Local BBQ Caterer
– McRitchie Winery & Ciderworks
– Meadows Family Farms
Activities are included with the purchase of an All-In-One ticket. Purchase a ticket online or at the Visitors Center (900 Old Salem Road). Friends of Old Salem enjoy free admission.
