Heaven is for Real the Movie

Image

Looking for a great movie to watch over the Easter Holy Days? Then you may want to see Heaven is for Real the Movie. Heaven Is for Real is the true story of a four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who experienced heaven during emergency surgery. He talks about looking down to see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn’t know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.

In heaven, Colton met his miscarried sister whom no one ever had told him about and his great-grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born. He shared impossible-to-know details about each. Colton went on to describe the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how “really big” God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit “shoots down power” from heaven to help us.

Told by the Colton’s father often in Colton’s own words, the disarmingly simple message is that heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and to be ready … there is a coming last battle. ~Ray Publishing Reviewsynopsis

The Burpos are the perfect picture of a small-town Americana family: mom and dad, daughter and son. Young Colton and his dad are inseparable until an illness lands Colton in the hospital. Fearing they will lose their son, the parents cry out to God to spare him.

While Colton’s amazing recovery should lead his family back to normalcy, they quickly discover nothing will ever be the same again. With childlike innocence, Colton begins talking about having visited Heaven and his incredible experiences there … including meeting family members he never knew about.

Based on the beloved book, HEAVEN IS FOR REAL tells one family’s story about Heaven and the impact it has on their community … and the world.

A strong Alberta clipper will race through the Piedmont this evening bringing a few showers with it.

Rain has been changing to snow from north to south across the area. As this is happening, the back edge of the precipitation is moving west to east and ending quickly for some.

Most areas from the Triad east will see the flurries and a few will see a dusting to around 1/2 inch.

The most snow should fall in the mountains where 1 to 3 inches should fall for most with nearer 6 inches on the west facing slopes.

Outside of the mountains amounts will drop off rapidly. There may be a sweet spot east of the mountains just north of Durham near the Virginia line where 1-2 inches may fall from Roxboro to Oxford to Roanoke Rapids.

In the middle between the mountains and the Triad, a dry slot will keep most areas…

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Operation Christmas Child is celebrating their 20th year.

The Samaritan’s Purse project helps send shoeboxes filled with toys and toiletries to children in some of the poorest countries in the world.

“To me it’s the greatest children’s project around because it is so pure,” said Danny Spainhour, with Pinedale Christian Church, who has been a part of OCC from the beginning even helping hand deliver boxes to children in Kosovo and the Middle East. “We have been at a village where the village had been bombed out. We were able to come in and tell them there is hope there is life ahead.”

The shoebox project has also helped teach children here at home about sharing love and giving.

“I want to fill up my daddy’s truck,” said 6-year-old Elayna Bonnett.

Bonnett and her family fill boxes each year and she is well on…
