Encourage your Paster Bus Tour-Summer 2022

Cindy Annan on Vimeo.

Energize is excited to announce the launch of our summer 2022 Encourage Your Pastor VBS Bus Tour. The Bible tells us that a little child shall lead them. How do we influence the environment of care and prayer for our church leadership? It starts with our children. They are our future leaders and they are not too young to learn how God can use them now to support and encourage their pastors and ministry leaders. You are never too young to be a blessing and serve the Lord! They can #Betheone

We’re offering to make a special appearance at your VBS, hand out coloring sheets for the kids who want to write a note or prayer of encouragement to their pastors and leaders, give them a tour of the Energize bus, and leave a gift bag for your pastor(s). We are super excited to offer this brief visits at no cost! There’s no catch, just a fun and encouraging way to share with your kids and add a unique experience to your VBS! – We’ll be scheduling stops all summer across VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, and AL!

If you’re interested, we’d love to see you! Click here to fill out the request form, and we’ll get back to you ASAP! Hope to see you this summer!

The calling of God requires faith. ✝️

Sometimes ministry can be discouraging, but when discouragement comes, it’s important to remember that you walk by faith….not by what you see.

Stay strong and keep walking by faith! God is with you!

BB&T Ballpark to host inaugural Awakening Music Festival September 26 & 27

AwakeningSlideWINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (August 29, 2015) – Downtown Winston-Salem’s BB&T Ballpark, home of the Winston-Salem Dash baseball team, will be the site of the inaugural “Awakening Music Festival: Sing Your Heart, Loudly.” The two-day Awakening Music Festival will feature a diverse line-up of Christian music performers co-headlined by Kirk Franklin and MercyMe on Saturday, September 26 from 4 to 10 p.m. Jeremy Camp will headline Awakening on Sunday, September 27 from 2 to 8 p.m.

“For some time, we’ve explored having concerts and other events at BB&T Ballpark during baseball’s offseason,” Winston-Salem Dash president Geoff Lassiter said. “A great deal of research and due diligence about regional audiences led us to the conclusion that there is a significant consumer demand for a world-class Christian music festival. We’re incredibly proud to have three of Christian music’s leading performers-Kirk Franklin, MercyMe and Jeremy Camp-as headliners for this year’s festival.”

“There is no other major two-day Christian music festival in the Southeast. With that in mind, we believe Awakening will draw people from a wide geographic area to Winston-Salem,” Lassiter said. “We are confident that Awakening will build a loyal regional audience over time and become a major annual event, resulting in more diners at restaurants, more retail shopping, more overnight hotel stays and an overall significant boost to the local economy, particularly to the downtown area.”

He noted that the top four Christian music concerts in America aggregately draw more than 300,000 people over the course of a week. In addition to Kirk Franklin, MercyMe and Jeremy Camp as headline performers, Lassiter said additional headlining and secondary acts are being cultivated and will include a diverse range of musical performers, speakers and local church groups.

Tickets to the Awakening Music Festival range from $25 to $75 per day. Group discounts also are available. Tickets are on sale now. Call (336) 331-3740 or click here for tickets.

About Kirk Franklin

For nearly two decades now, Kirk Franklin has been a multi-platinum-selling purveyor of majestic fusions of gospel and contemporary music, and a mirror of Christian humanity boldly reflecting what one faith walking man can accomplish when he focuses on God and taps deep into the gifts He gives. Franklin is a pioneer in gap-bridging musicianship, uniting audiences across gospel, hip hop, pop and R&B. His irresistible rhythms and rhapsodies have resulted in albums that consistently top both Billboard’s Gospel and Christian charts, as well as ascend triumphantly into the Top 10 of the R&B/Hip Hop chart. His unprecedented penetration into the mainstream has fortified him to also become a New York Times bestselling author for The Blueprint: A Plan for Living Above Life’s Storms(Gotham/Penguin). Franklin is also the host and executive producer of the gospel talent show “Sunday Best,” the highest-rated gospel program in BET network history now heading into its sixth season. To date, the trendsetter has garnered nine GRAMMY® Awards, 39 Stellar Awards, 16 Dove Awards (CCM), eight NAACP Image Awards, two BET Awards, an American Music Award, a Soul Train Award and numerous others.

And yet, with all of his success and acclaim-his overflow of awards and accolades-Franklin remains, at heart, a man who comes from shaky circumstances that could have paralyzed his spiritual growth within his humble familial beginnings. He is never far from that frightened and forlorn young man who didn’t always know which way to turn. The heart of who Kirk Franklin is and his story struck a resounding chord with his fans years ago and they have remained loyal ever since. Franklin has always been transparent about being abandoned by his parents and adopted by his grandmother and his humble beginnings. He has never hid behind his celebrity status but has remained connected to his audience through his music and frank discussions of life issues, which is what makes Franklin one of the most relatable and respected messengers in his field. Franklin is the biggest selling Contemporary Gospel artist in the history of SoundScan. His latest CD, Hello Fear, was RIAA-certified gold in February 2012 and he has 7 additional RIAA-certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum selling releases to date.

About MercyMe

Since their debut in 2001, GRAMMY®-nominated, American Music Award and multiple Dove Award winners MercyMe have sold more than 8.5 million units in CD, single and DVD sales, garnered 27 No. 1 multi-format Christian radio singles and four consecutive mainstream radio hits with “I Can Only Imagine,” (No. 4 AC/Top 25 on Top 40/Hot AC), “Here With Me” (No. 4 AC), “Homesick” (Top 10 AC), and “So Long Self.” Their radio success has continued with their recent single “Greater,” which held the No. 1 spot at Christian radio for 16 weeks. MercyMe made history in 2014 as “I Can Only Imagine” surpassed 2 million digital downloads, making it the first song in Christian music to go platinum and double-platinum in the digital domain. In 2009, Billboard named MercyMe’s “Word Of God Speak” the No. 1 Song of the Decade and the group the No. 1 Artist of the Decade in both the Christian Songs and Christian AC Songs categories, recognizing them as one of the industry’s most notable talents.

They have sold out venues throughout the United States and Canada, including Radio City Music Hall, and have appeared on The Today Show, CBS This Morning, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Fox New Channel’s Fox & Friends, CNN, ABC News, and in the pages of Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times, USA Today and more. MercyMe’s eighth studio album, Welcome To The New, garnered Billboard Music Award nominations in all three Christian categories and two GRAMMY® nods. Their highly anticipated new album MercyMe, It’s Christmas! offers a fresh spin on seasonal favorites as well as several original songs, and is slated to release in October 2015.

Jeremy Camp

About Jeremy Camp

While he feels like he’s “just beginning,” Jeremy Camp has 12 years of accolades and accomplishments as a songwriter and recording artist, including four million albums sold, four RIAA Gold albums, a multi-platinum DVD, three American Music Award nominations and a GRAMMY® Award nomination. He’s been a part of more than 25 tours (headlining 18 of those) in the United States and has performed in more than 32 countries. Camp describes himself as “a minister who happens to play music as a way to minister.”

Over the last year and a half, this ordained minister has experienced a season of artistic growth and musical creativity, evident with his new album I Will Follow. This eighth studio album, released with Capitol CMG, reveals a new level of versatility and depth. With producer Seth Mosley at the helm, a new sound emerges with a host of guest songwriters including the likes of Mosley and Jason Ingram. “To write with these amazing writers who helped shape the different elements of these songs was just an amazing experience,” Camp said. “I’ve never done that before. There were no parameters when we were producing and when we were writing. Vocally too, I feel like I’ve never pushed myself this much. I just went for it and said, ‘All right Lord, I am 100 percent in.’ I think I am more excited than ever about what I’m doing.”

Unknown Hinson – Luxuriant Sedans

unknownhinson

8:00 PM Friday Jul 10, 2015

The UNtold Story of Unknown. While singing his own hilariously politically incorrect songs, Unknown Hinson plays guitar in a style incendiary enough to have Satan himself reaching for the antiperspirant. But don’t dismiss him as a novelty act. He’s one hell of a talent and has the music to prove it!

Looking somewhat like Dracula’s nasty little brother who spent some hard years drinking and working as a carnival barker for a second-rate freak show, Unknown Hinson translates that vibe to his style of country and western-tinged psychobilly. The band is now touring nationwide, wowing audiences with outrageous and campy, white-trash persona and freewheeling, sleazy tone.

Hinson’s most recent CD release, “Live and Undead”, melds weepy twang, searing guitar riffs and lyrics that speak of love-gone-bad. Recorded at a sold-out show, an enthusiastic honky tonk crowd sings along with the King on every song. Raucous, theatrical and over-the-top, Unknown Hinson isn’t just for the trailer park set anymore!

Unknown is gaining international notoriety in the 14-34 demographic as the voice of lead character “Early Cuyler” in the popular show from Cartoon Network – “Squidbillies”. The first four seasons were so well-received that an immediate green light was given to future seasons. Check website for dates and time slots.

http://www.adultswim.com/shows/squidbillies/

Unknown Hinson is an international winner in the Independent Music Awards for his alternative Country track “Torture Town” from the album “Target Practice”.

Unknown Hinson is also a featured artist for Reverend Guitars, representing them in many issues of Guitar Player magazine. A signature Unknown Hinson guitar is currently part of Reverend’s celebrity instrument lineup.
