  • When: October 28, 2017
  • Where: 1 North Main Street Lexington, North Carolina
  • Time: 8:30 am-6:00 pm (Rain or Shine)

There’s nothing like sniffing the aroma, sharing the flavor, enjoying the taste and savoring every morsel of a barbecue sandwich with thousands of other people at the same time. Sipping a drink. Talking. Laughing. It’s the place to be! Let’s be clear…we’ll only be celebrating and serving one kind of barbecue at the festival… Lexington Style!

This year, on Saturday, October 28, 2017, the streets of Historic Uptown Lexington transform into a great big playground with food, entertainment, shopping and lots of family fun. It all begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs ‘til 6 p.m. The Festival is free and plenty of parking will be available. Shuttles will provide transportation service from satellite parking lots throughout the city. Amtrak trains, running between Raleigh and Charlotte, will stop in Lexington in the morning and afternoon. The Piedmont and Carolinian reserve the Festival day to make their only stop here during the year.

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend and enjoy the flavor of slow-cooked pork barbecue, the kind that makes the city the “Barbecue Capital of the World.”

7th Annual Benefit Ride. New House For Curtis!

Details:

Curtis and his grandfather lost their home to a fire in West Virginia. They are currently living in a shack and all Curtis wants is a bathroom.

The family has never had a well before and currently, they get their water for an old coal mine, so with the funds raised through Anchor Ridge Ministries, they are going to dig them a well so they don’t have to keep climbing the mountain to keep the water flowing!

After Josh Paul from Anchor Ridge Ministry met with the contractor, it was determined the current home is unlivable. So they have stepped out in faith to build them a BRAND NEW HOME!!!

Donations will be accepted the day of the ride between 8:00 am-3:00 pm at East Bend Baptist Church.

Bring those Motorcycles and Classic Cars. There will also be a Silent Auction.

100% of the proceeds will go to Anchor Ridge Ministry to help fund this project. Afterward Buffalo’s Famous BBQ with trimmings, 50/50 Drawing, Silent Auction & Door Prizes.
