Where to vote: You must vote at your assigned precinct between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. If you don’t know where you should go to vote, you can look it up here.

If you have moved more than 30 days prior to the election and are still living in the same county, you will have a new polling location. If you did not report your move, you may be asked to vote on a provisional ballot.

Bring your voter ID: Before you head to the polls make sure you have an acceptable form of ID. An acceptable ID can range from a state driver’s license to a Tribal ID card. If you aren’t sure if your ID qualifies, you can check here.

Key races: Today voters will be picking who they want to represent their party in the November general election. The November election will determine everything from president to school board officials.

Finnegan’s Wake 2016 St. Patrick’s Day tented event cancelled.

st-patricks-dayFinnegan’s Wake 2016 St. Patrick’s Day tented event cancelled.

They had looked forward to the 10th anniversary celebration for some time. However, to operate within the new policies and procedures the North Carolina ABC Commission has set forth, but regrettably they could not accomplish that goal.
Finnegan’s Wake are no longer permitted to sell beer, wine or spirits inside the tented celebration space along Trade Street or in the parking lot. They will seek way to comply with the ABC’s new policies so that they can bring back your favorite (and the Triad’s largest) St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the future.
This year, on March 17th, Finnegan’s Wake will open the pub at 7:00 am with a traditional Irish breakfast. During lunch they will feature authentic tunes from the Bedlam Boys. Late night, from 10:00 pm – 1:00 am, Bana will perform Irish music you can dance to. All with no cover charge.
